Even if you don't know who Chuck Ahrens* is but you're interested in building huge, strong shoulders, you should do 300-pound one arm presses . . . the best pressers around in the 1950s and 1960s could do these and that's the gene pool that our Big Boys come from. Load them up with ten 10-lb. plates on each end, tighten up the Bulldog II Collars, and say a word of thanks to Pat Casey for paving the road you're about to follow. Made of brutally strong alloy steel, 24" long overall, with knurled 1-3/8" diameter handles. The ends are turned down to 1-1/16" for exercise plates, with a loading surface of 9-1/4" on each end. Natural finish.
*Hint: read Bruce Wilhelm's article, "Chuck Ahrens: The Reclusive Powerhouse," MILO, April 1994, Vol. 2, No. 1.
Set includes a pair of Big Boy Dumbbell Bars and four small Bulldog II Collars and wrench.
After absorbing the rising cost of steel for several years, we have have been forced to raise the price of the Big Boy Dumbbell Bars to allow for this increase.
No. 1224 (16 lb.) $229.95/pair
