This tool is very effective. I use 3 times a week and it increased my forearm size while being one of my favorite things to do. If youre considering it, you should probably get it.

Im a climber who was looking to build my forearms. This device actually does something unique though. I notice that it is very effective in building the muscles in your hand, specifically the thumb. I also get a very ideal type of pump in my forearms. If youre a crack climber, this might be the most effective hand jam training tool. I think the biggest trick to using this is proper and consistent technique It requires it more than other tools Ive used. For ergonomics and safety, you should probably place your thumb in a way where it tracks towards your ring finger and middle finger when you close. The next thing I would recommend is to put something under your elbow so It is raised up about 3.5 or 4 inches from the ground. When you close it, I think its safer for your thumb if you dont close the pinch all the way were they touch or open fully before the next rep. The reason I felt this was important to write is because it is pretty intense on your thumb joint when done wrong, at first, use a weight where you can do 3 sets of 8-10 reps, at least until your thumb doesnt seem at risk. Lastly, I try to prevent my thumb from twisting to the side significantly as I close. I believe this is one of the most effective and fun grip/forearm training tools, totally worth the cost.
