The latest, greatest thing in squat bars goes back to the first half of the twentieth century when, in the early days of the automobile, J. C. Hise's brother needed a lever to help pry the engine out of his car. Grabbing J. C. Hise's lifting bar, he got the job done. He also bent the bar, which later proved to be such a boon to squats that among other squatting greats, Paul Anderson always cambered his squat bars. It makes them more comfortable and the bar stays in place a lot easier, so you can concentrate on the movement that creates muscle magic.
Our Buffalo Bar is shaped from massive 1-3/8"-diameter U.S. prime alloy steel, with revolving sleeves and an overall length of 92" (58-1/2" inside collar to inside collar) so your shoulders won't have to pretzel before you can get under the bar. It is perfect for squats, good mornings, lunges, Hise shrugs . . . anything that requires a bar sitting on your shoulders. Knurled per IPF measurements. Weighs about 52 lb.; natural finish.
